Zero Tolerance Business Watch

This new initiative launched in Sleaford brings together the new BID security patrol and the current Shopwatch and Pubwatch schemes to create 'Business Watch'.
This Radiolink scheme aims to join Sleaford businesses together with the BID security officers, the Sleaford town warden, the CCTV centre in Grantham and the local Police, enabling the town to work as a team not only to eradicate shop theft and fight business crime but also to stamp out nuisance behaviour to ensure Sleaford becomes a safe place to live, do business, shop and visit.
The partnership of BID and Sleaford Town Council will manage and co-ordinate the scheme and help businesses by providing the free security patrol service 7 nights per week between 6 p.m and 6 a.m and cleaning up the area during the day with the town warden having the jurisdiction to distribute fixed penalty notices for dog fouling and litter dropping.
By local businesses joining the ZT scheme, they will be issued with stickers to display in their window, and will have access to the information collated on ACIS (Active Crime Intelligence System) by receiving frequent updates and information on crime hot spots and nuisance activity in the town.
We hope local businesses will work closely with our two security officers, Graham and Alex, in our fight to make Sleaford crime free.
If you are in the town centre and have any problems during the day, do not hesitate to talk to Phil, our Town Warden, who is here to assist in any way that he can.
